Indonesia is where I grew up and has a special place in my heart, let me tell you why:
- Is located in southeast Asia between 2 oceans; the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
- Located in the heart of Coral Triangle and passed by Indonesian Throughflow
- The three major tectonic plates that meet in Indonesia are the Eurasian, Indo-Australian, and Pacific plates
- There is an imaginary line called the Wallacea Line. That is separates many animals between 2 areas such as; birds and mammals.
Those facts not only make Indonesia special in my heart but also very unique. Let's start with our water, we have one of the highest biodiversity, both fauna from the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean are present in Indonesian waters, some even notice there is a hybrid between these two species. We are also located where the largest movement of water on the planet is called Indonesian Throughflow. Many people also know Indonesia is in the Ring of Fire and has the most active volcano activities, which also means the area has fertile land. From a terrestrial point of view, the animals in the east and west of the Indonesia were different but along the line itself, there was a mix of species, including some hybrid species.
